in Dunedin, New Zealand
I create curricula for individual students according to their interests and goals.
My teaching includes the following :
Classical Piano, Jazz Piano, Gospel, Pop Music, Music Theory & Ear Training.
My teaching style is goal-oriented for students who are already piano majors or students wanting to obtain admission to study piano at universities or graduate schools. I offer teaching for serious and advanced hobby students. One thing that is common for all students is teaching piano as an enjoyable skills they will continue to develop
for the rest of their lives.

$60 / 30 min

* Lessons are arranged and invoiced on a quarterly basis in advance.

ACHIEVEMENTS
My students have received admissions from the University of Victoria in New Zealand and the University of Central Oklahoma (Graduate Program, Piano Performance) in the United States. They have also won competitions in Taiwan, the American College of Musicians (National Guild of Piano Teachers)in the USA, and the Dunedin Performing Arts Competitions in New Zealand.

In 2025, one of my students was awarded Best Competitor (14 years and under) and received a monetary award from the Dunedin Concerto Competition. Additionally, she competed in the Dunedin Performing Arts Competition and was awarded 1st place, winning the Dunedin Musical Society Cup, the DPACS Cup, the IRMT Otago Branch Cup, and the Pearl Dent Cup for the highest aggregate, as well as a $50 scholarship presented by the Convener of the Instrumental Competition.

Furthermore, my students have successfully completed Trinity College London Piano Certificate exams across a variety of grades.


OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
* Recitals: Public or private options through the Dunedin Musical Society or small gatherings.
* Exams: Trinity College graded exams for performance and theory (academic credit available).
* Competitions: Dunedin Performing Arts and Concerto competitions.
